Must be so nice to be living in the middle of Europe with all those fantastic roads going off in all directions. Contrast my mate in Penzance, who has to travel 100 miles due East and back, on the same old roads, just to find a new bit of tarmac.
Got any less well-trodden passes we ought to know about?
Enjoy the site.

Now finally moved house so have time to reply. Re the question from on road suggestions in Switzerland, well I would at least consider the following:
1. Renggpass - great view point, short road but nice and good place to grab some food (can be closed on a Mon and Tue)
2. Bristenstrasse (from Amsteg to Bristen) - Very careful if loaded up, really short but so scenic. Would also recommend doing the national road from Amsteg to the Gotthard pass, rather than coming off Mway around Wassen or later
3. Geissbützi (from Ibergeregg pass to Muotathal) - great views, had to manoeuvre past some cows last time
4. Schallenberg - very nice
5. Pillion pass - from Gstaad via Glacier 3000 - really like this one, then head over to Chatueax d-Oex
6. Juan pass - Some flat bits but ok when combining with 5
7. Gurnigelpass - Love this one, combine with 4 + 5(twice) + 6 and its a great ride
8. Glaubenbergstrasse/Passhöchi Beizli - Realls nice flowing road
9. Car ferry from Gersau to Beckenried - Top notch (not soo regular sailings best to check in advance)
Remember and look out for the police, there are no fixed speed cameras in Canton Aargau (they voted against them) but loads of speed traps, try and avoid going over 20 kph too fast.
Generally I prefer either the smaller passes or ones that are lower down, the traditional high passes are full of caravans and cars

Welcome! Other options in Switzerland might be to go from Geneva down to Italy (I confess an interest as `I have house there !) through Chamonix and into Italy and the Gran Paradiso National park.Could then ride south to San Remo and then along the mediterranean coast. Its easier on your wallet in Italy compared to Switzerland. The Police are less cunning and the food is so much better
