There is a lot of good information on the forum about coolant but I was hoping for some advice on the following due to restricted buying options here.
How often should the coolant be drained on a very low mileage/useage bike?
Can I use a BMW Car product in the bike ?Any good experience with coolants in hot weather as its never cold here....but always hot
Many thanks...Simon

Don't you have an owners handbook? They are free to download. You will see there when to change the coolant and what spec to use.

Thanks...yes...I have the owners manual in both English and Thai
. But unless I am mistaken it does not answer any of the questions I asked.

It's odd that the user manual does not specify what type of coolant to use, but according to this post:
https://www.s1000rrforum.com/threads/what-coolant-does-the-bike-have-in-it-from-stock.46282/
our bikes use the same coolant as BMW cars.

Thanks for this info. I can get original BMW car coolant so will drain the system and use that...~I think.
