The main problem is USB power since I already used the GPS hook up. I'm going to try this, but placed behind the body work where the power socket is up front. My main concern is that has a 2.1A and a 1.0A, so I'm not sure if that will be enough to charge my phone and run the GoPro:

Job done, original BMW power socket left in place but disconnected, new dual USB tucked behind the same panel. 1.0A port happily runs the GoPro, the 2.0A is for my phone. Cables zip tied in place. Wish I'd never bought the spendy Quad Lock USB power accessory, that's gone into the toolbox for another day or another bike.

I originally used the Wunderlich camera mount on my K1600, then moved it over to the new XR. I Dremmelled a hole in the protective case for the USB cable. Using a Hero 8, which will run on USB sans battery.

Yea I based my design off of this haha, I think most people just found the ~£70 price tag a bit steep for what is essentially a slightly bent piece of ally

Yup. Wunderlich has always been proud of their goods.  :015:
