Mivv high level can system
on: May 04, 2016, 09:45:25 AM
Good morning. Loving my new S1000xr but don't like the can on it very much. Has anyone fitted a Mivv high level can system on a S1000 xr? If not what cans have any of you changed to? Many thanks

I have the MIVV SUONO BLACK STEEL.
It's the high-mount but i also ordered the optional second linkpipe so i can also mount it at standard-level if i want to ride with panniers ;)

HI, I have had a look at this can and it appears there is only one pipe coming out, whereas I will need two as my bike has two coming out of the cat. Do you have the 2016 model? Can you confirm how many pipes come out the cat into the can? Many thanks.

So why do some pictures show one pipe and these tend to be listed 2015 on and the only can that has two pipes on for 2016 on. I have spoken to Mivv and they are unsure also saying there is a possibility of a new can for an xr 2016 on. The mivv diagrams on line do not show a cat two pipe into one pipe adapter?? I believe the exhaust was modified fir the 2016 xr plates. interested in your technical input. many thanks Sparky, sorry to go on!!!

The 2015 and 2016 XR have the same catalysator with two pipes.
If you order the MIVV you WILL get a linkpipe that fit on these two pipes, don't worry ;)
Don't do it for more sound because they are not louder than stock.
It just looks better, but that's a matter of taste :)

I've got a low MIVV Carbon Oval.  Looks neat, and you retain the pannier capability and rear seat pegs.  As Muifke says, you get a dual link pipe with the can. I doubt the catalyser output has changed from the 2015 to the 2016 model - IIRC the only changes were the additional white/red/grey colour scheme.

hi, just wanted to thank everyone for their input on this topic. I bought a mivv high level oval titanium system and fitted it in 20 mins with no major problems. Looks much better I think.
