Aftermarket grips install ?

Has anyone installed aftermarket grips on there XR? I would like to install new ones but don't know if you need special aftermarket grips from bmw and if so way ?

have a read of this as i suspect they're the same type of heated grips.

Thanks, I can't believe what a pain it is to get stock throttle grip off .

Not the best is it :)

Still, saying that I remember peoplestruggling with the multistrada 1200 grips but when I did mine the Italians must have used less glue.

Installed and wow what a difference from stock I highly recommend changing those hard stock grips.

Spider grips multistrada , They are sized to fit heated grips I used hair spray to install with no glue. I suggest heat gun , Pliers and Blade  to take off old grips.

What made the "wow" comment - comfort?  grip?

I'm assuming they slide over the top of the heating element?  Does it make them any warmer on full heat?

My hand don't hurt anymore after fast riding in the canyons also I feel tad less vibration, Don't notice any difference in heat compared to stock grips .
