Illuminated BMW roundel tank badge?

With past BMW bikes I have ,like many, bought endless accessories 😊including an illuminated roundel from a German supplier.This basically lights up the BMW badge on the tank. when using the turn signals.I thought that I would try a DIY job on my XR and it worked well. I bought a 70mm set of Angel eyes ,orange color, on the internet(basically round lights) and also some 3M 70mm round double sided stickers.These are the same diameter as the roundel on a K49 although 60MM might have been neater?.The BMW badge pops out by pressing it from the inside.Prise the BMW logo off the black plastic  mount which was the trickiest part.Put the 3M sticker on the black BMW badge base plate....afix Angel eyes and then stick the BMW Badge onto the angel eyes.The Angel eyes have only 2 small wires.Feed them through the black  base plate and connect to the front indicators on either side.Its a very easy job and looks good so the BMW badge now flashes when I use the turn signals or hazard warning lights.I am not sure how long they will last but it will be easy to replace and cost about $15/£11 to do and can be removed easily.Will post a photo to illustrate in case others are interested 😁

I purchased the same angel eyes and 60mm 3m ring stickers.
The 60mm stickers are too small, and set inside the angel eyes.
I am going to purchase 70mm rings, and hope they will work.

Has any one else tried this mod?
