So I think I need a new air filter. Any recommendations, K&N,High flow ? Or is there anything better than a stock one.
    Your guidance is appreciated.

Gen-1 or Gen-2..You don't say which you have.

If Gen-1....The stock filter is very good...some of the Superbike race teams here in Aus still use the stock filter.

Some also prefer the "Sprint" filters.

150 bucks for an air filter  :004:
Welp, if stock is good enough for race teams I'll save my pennies too lol
K&N seem to do one for this bike really cheap though, only 50 quid, probably also fine.

Yes...but they last the life of the bike.....so if you replace the stock filter 3 times over the life of your bike, you could've bought the Sprint filter.

I have no experience with the K&N I'm afraid.

I had BMC filter on my K13, fitted one to my S1kR. all good, bought the cleaning/maintence fluids, etc been on the R for 30k miles. I got sucked in by the hype and tried a Sprint filter on my XR, 1000 miles in there was so much dust/pollen in my airbox that I binned it and installed a BMC, now 25k miles on that(been cleaned and regenerated twice) and happy as Larry!

For sprint filter watch high pollen conditions. I usually run stock during those times and swap to sprint filter p08f1-85 when it clears up.
The stock filters do flow well however.

I run a K&N in mine...fits perfectly and works fine...I didn't see any dirt  getting past it the last time I checked
