    Best price for BMW panniers

Wondered if anyone knew where the cheapest place might be for buying the genuine BMW panniers for my Gen 2 ('21)? I suspect some dealers may discount more than others, so if anyone knew of please let me know. Otherwise my wallet may prefer to buy the Shad ones, which look to be at least half the cost  :005:

    Not sure if it helps.
Bought mine from local dealer at £750. I picked up though, so not sure if there would be delivery etc on top of that?? £120 cheaper than other Motorrad shops??

That is very strange reasoning. Your wallet would have preferred to buy a Honda and save money, but you didn't. The Shad aftermarket panniers look sh1t compared to the BMW ones that are designed to fit as neatly to the bike as possible.

Hello. Did you buy from Cotswold in Cheltenham? Have you asked Nick at Cotswold for his best price? A lot will depend on availability as a lot of inventory is on back order. If the dealer in Scotland is still offering the boxes for the price above then Nick might price match.

Personally, I go with Givi as I have used them for years and I can usually get a fitting kit for my existing panniers and topbox when I change bikes. I put pragmatism ahead of aesthetics for luggage, especially side boxes that are used 2 or 3 times a year.

Most dealers will give 10% off, possibly 15%

Not sure if this would work, but if you order from EU (Germany) will you then get the VAT deducted? Postage costs for sure but might be something to look into. Cant find G2 but these folks are usually there or there abouts when it comes to price and discounts, also can respond to questions in english: https://www.bmw-motorrad-bohling.com/motorcycle-luggage/s1000xr.html

LuxyBob makes a good observation here. I just checked the Bohling website and it states:

"Shipments sent outside the European Union (e.g. Switzerland, USA, Brazil, etc.) are sold exclusive of VAT. The VAT is deducted automatically when you enter a destination country outside the EU."

But then you will , thanks to the wonder of Brexit, pay UK VAT on delivery.I understand that this is payable online before delivery to the delivery company .
