    Side Pannier Rack

    Hi everyone
Just wanted an answer about removing the standard BMW pannier mounting brackets on my 19 plate XR I have just bought.
Removing it is easy enough but the bolt that goes through the sub frame at the top seems to be too long to put back in after removing the brackets?
Are people using a different bolt as it seems to be necessary to hold the top box rack on?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

did you try using the boltfrom the forward mounting holes in the rear(topbox bracket), then you just need a plug for the forward holes.

I had some short bolts from a fairing bolt kit for the front one, and use the front mounting bolts in the rear hole, looks great  :028:

You have to order shorter bolts from the dealer

Front bolts into the back holes and a piece of black electrical tape to cover over the front holes, job done no cost.
