Leaving this morning to Builth Wells in Mid Wales for a 5 day tour. Keeping it simple with just 3 of us ( Gen 2 XR, GS & Multistrada) all the routes are planned and locked in, just need the weather to hold and we're set. I've got an oven ready trip to the Auvergne region of France for when we get the green light - for now it's off to the valleys.  :001: :046:
    Cheers,
    Charlie Spiceboy.

We did a Wales trip last weekend, really good fun. From Newport to Bedgelert first day, then looping to the north coast and down to Aberystwyth for the second day, then back home via some twisties the next.

    Have fun :-0)

Put Ponderosa cafe on the list, assuming the weather is good, we were there Friday and it was like a bad day in February, and while not in Wales but on the way, put Shobdon airfield on the list, plenty of outside seating and catering and lots going on, for you guys coming from the east, Wellesbourne airfield is on the way, another good stop off.

Steel Horse Cafe in Abergavenny was closed when we rode past on Monday last week.

Edited to add, I just looked and its closed permanently, that's sad it was a good cafe. Used it more when cycling than motorbiking but its a shame.

Have fun, we spend more time on Welsh roads than ours, due to high influx of tourists on our local roads.
Bridge only an hour away from us.

Did 300plus miles round that area on Saturday. Fantastic weather.
Start in Swindon. Cotswolds . A44 to Doms cafe Leominster ( highly recommend - great breakfast  :028:)
Across to Builth Wells. Lanndovery. Back to Brecon. Up to Hereford. Gloucester. Home
Great day out. This is when you realise that you're not bike.
I'd rather be in the Pyrenees though  :018:

    Morning All,
Do we have a folder or Topic list where we can share routes.
Im away to do the NC500. Which is actually 1100miles from Peterhead and following a Clockwise rotation.

I have saved and available to anybody if they would like to see what and where were stating etc. 4 nights with wife on Pillion.

I did the NC500 last year, going back to Scotland next month. Not going to do the NC500 in its entirety again but the best bits :-)

If you get the weather it will be awesome :-)

I have the pleasure of living in Mid Wales, the roads are all twisty and the councils do a great job of keeping them pot hole free.
Another Cafe stop to put on the list is, Crossgates Motor Cafe and petrol station, postcode LD1 6RE. Great roads plus loads of bikes most days, heaving on sunny weekends.
    Have fun

A ride over to mid Wales is my day trip of preference. Once I get past Worcester the roads change, usually stop st Crossgates on the way out and back.  Was over there a couple of weeks ago, went down to Rhayader up through Elan valley along mountain road to devils bridge back up to Newtown and down to Crossgates. Great day.
