Was looking for something fit for purpose and also aesthetically pleasing and think i may have cracked it with the AXIO tail bag, albeit i did remove my rack and go back to the non-touring look.

Wanted something to carry a first aid kit and any other bits & bobs that i collect when out & about.

Paid $120AUD on Facebook marketplace for anyone interested and wanting to do a price comparison.hope this helps anyone looking to do similar.

    Mate that looks nice.  :001:

Quick question for you, when you removed the touring rack, and fitted the one you have now, did you find the 4 bolts difficult to screw back into the sub frame?
Almost like they were cross threaded and wouldnt go in smoothly?

Hey LeDuke - no issues at all mate on removal/refitting tbh, I renewed the loctite when putting the bolts back in.

On removing/fitting you have to take the plate off the rack at the rear as the x2 bolts closer to the tail cant be accessed without doing so. I've done this exercise twice as ordered the rear rack after purchasing my bike is the non TE version here in Aus.

Sorry if you already know this and good luck with getting your issue sorted  https://www.s1000xr.uk/Smileys/light/028.gif

@LeDuke, my guess is what you are feeling is residual loctite left overfrom removal of the 'micro-encapsulated' bolts that BMW use.
