Where to buy a 2nd Gen XR ESA Delete Dongle

    Hi All
I’ve had a look around at the various suspension treads and can’t find what I’m looking for. So I’m starting a new one, apologies if it’s already been covered.
I’ve got a 2021 XR which is a great bike ruined by poor suspension and handling (my humble opinion).
Anywho, after much searching and enquiries I’ve decided to ditch the ESA suspension and fit new front and rear suspension from Maxton. BUT can’t seem to find an ESA delete dongle that will turn off the error codes. Does such an animal exist yet?
    Here’s hoping 🤞

If its the same Sachs stuff as Gen 1 then a simple power resistor plugged int will make it think its still there.

I did this for testing on my Gen 1 before I had the ECU flashed and it turned off.

I went with K-Tech front and rear and its bloody brilliant :-)

Thanks to the OP for the boot up the arse.. :001:, I went into K-Tech socially when I think Bazzers bike was in there being sorted and asked about the same treatment for my KTM and Ken (Summerton) said he’s look into it and I’ve been distracted with with other stuff.

Bazzer...have you got a link for the dongle or did K-Tech supply it.

I made the dongle myself (I work in embedded electronics)

It might not be the same for the WP kit though winger, it depends on how they control it.

    Hi Bazzer

It may not work for a KTM,  but will it work for a 2nd Gen XR?!? If it will can I get one and how much dosh?
I%u2019ve had a little look but haven%u2019t found if the 2nd gens use Sachs suspension or not? Can%u2019t see anything on the bike itself either %uD83D%uDE44

It deffo uses sachs suspension, just depends if its the same.

Is it a two pin connector on the fork cable?

Went and checked the bike, it’s not a two pin plug. Plus on the forks in bold lettering it says Marzocchi so I guess that answers who supplies the suspension for the Gen 2.
Every day is a school day.
I guess that’s also why there is some aftermarket provision for Gen 1 but nothing for Gen 2.
I guess my bike may be a guinea pig for Maxton, but I’ve used them before, so super confident that they’ll nail it.

Actually I knew they were Marsocchi as I have seen it on the fork leg :)

Why I thought they were Sachs is beyond me, getting old  :)

Where did you go to get the bike flashed? As this may be the best long term solution.
