Old rider, new to the forum

Been riding forever. My big bike was a 1975 Goldwing, purchased in 1978. Took a break in the 80s while we raised the kids. My wife passed in 2011 and I went back to riding as therapy. Many many bikes have passed through my garage since then.
Currently have a 2003 Harley VRod and a 2016 S1000XR. Went on a 3 day this month on the Beemer, riding with a bunch of guys on HDs. Gotta say I'm loving this scooter.
I'm inseam impaired. Lowered 2.5 inches, dropped seat 1/2 inch. Then raised the bars 1 inch, pulled them back 1 1/2 inches. Widened the mirrors. Eliminated the awful license plate setup and installed LED brake and signals in the rear. Next up? NAV and slipon.
Shiny side up!

Welcome!
Was just discussing the V-Rod with a fella at the MOT centre - as he owns an X-Diavel which seems to be a modern incarnation of the V ?

Very similar look, although the Porsche designed V engine and the Duck definitely have differences. The VRod never got much traction among the traditional HD riders, and nobody from outside the community really cared.
The bike is a gas, but not a long hauler.
