I could say I ride too fast for anyone to come up behind me but that'd be childish lol I 100% agree with you, on bikes like my old XT600, 100% would be nice to have something like that cos that has a candle as a taillight, but I think the XR is one of the best bikes in the lighting department in existence.

Congrats! You’ll enjoy (if that’s possible) the Clearwaters. Not to burst your “strobe” bubble, but the CW has multiple programs. They can be set up to flash when the horn sounds or when the high beam is triggered (flash to pass x3)

It’s a great safety feature. Especially when you come up on intersections and the driver to the L or R isn’t paying attention…
Oh yeah I forgot to mention I used to hit my strobes often when I wasn't sure if someone was going to give way to me. Since I posted I've read about the strobing with CW CANopener. Also I really like that you can adjust/program the lights with the multi-controller!

I fitted some cheap and cheerful 6 spot LED lights today. Separate on off switch on the left side of the handlebar. Suprisingly bright. Cost £20 from Wish.com and actually arrived!

Do you have a link for them?
The sticker has a line missing- "Only with the support of the RAF".  :008:

No probs:

Even cheaper now. You will need to buy a universal wiring harness to fit it safely as the lights come with just a switch.

I am not going to grace your RAF comment with a reply  :164:

They are expensive but top quality and compact but very powerful and fit neatly under the front fairing

Jakebake, those look great. Very clean mount. How did you do it? Is it a kit for the XR or did you fabricate something?

Thanks,

Its fairly simple and neat, the bracket is a 90deg small shelf bracket from DIY store as link below and this was secured by the existing screw which fixes the fairing piece , so no extra holes to drill. I supplied everything and BMW fitted it for me so don’t know the exact route of the wiring etc. .
