Having put my name to the paperwork yesterday I will take ownership of a new XR within the next few weeks. I have seen many informative posts on this site and hope that I can contribute positively .
I have ordered the panniers, top box and radiator guard at this point from the dealer. I have also ordered up crash bars and an auxiliary light mounting kit from Wunderlich in the hood that the dealer might fit them for me ( at a cost).
Can I ask has anyone fitted these bars snd if do any issues experienced ?

John Clark Dundee where I bought it from. They’re collecting it first thing.

    Brilliant
I bought mine at John Clark in Aberdeen at the weekend and should have it within next couple of weeks , I managed to get the first service done by them thrown in for free but I will need to try get them to collect it like you have .
So what colour did you go for ?

A few folk have said should have kept both but the RR would’ve just sat in the garage most of the time. Was up in Applecross a couple weeks ago and didn’t miss the RR once. The XR is such a great bike and more suited to roads I’m riding and trips away.

That would just have been greedy 😂
I choose the XR over the Ninja1000sx and Ducati Supersport due to its all round capability and reputation , might be a bit much in some people’s eyes as a first big bike but as the saying goes about it’s ability to go fast .

You’ll be fine, the XR is so easy to ride and your riding ability and confidence will come on leaps and bounds. My mates just ordered the Ninja SX,I’ll be reminding him the XR has 25bhp more lol
