Gen2 49Ltr Top Box

I have the gen 2 model that I use predominantly for touring. Has anyone seen the OEM 49ltr top box mounted on a gen 2 model ?  I have the 30L one currently, and can fit a full face helmet in (just). I'd like to be able to put
my helmet and other bits (for example tank bag) in whilst stopped to avoid carrying around, or locking to the bike separately.

I ordered one for mine, it's at the dealer but not being fitted until first service on the 29th. Happy to take some photos etc. once it's installed.

I have the large case mounted on my new bike that arrived last Wednesday. I thought it would look horrible, but it's OK and suits the bike just fine.
It spacey enough for two modular helmets (an AGV Sportmodular in L and a HJC RPHA 90+ in S). Alternatively, I can also put my tank bag (a Givi ST603B, about 10 liters) and my large helmet (the AGV) in there. It will depend a bit on the size of your tank bag.
As a side note, it also has enough space for two pizza boxes (stacked), so I can get the freshly baked pizza home swiftly  .
If you like, I can make a picture of the case with the items in them this evening.

I also ordered the side cases for it and they too can contain my AGV helmet. The tank bag also fits in them, but for both items to fit I need both side cases.

Personally, I don't really like the passenger backrest, but it was already installed when I picked up the bike...

Was there one for the Gen 1? Just curious cos this is the first time i've seen the 49L box, and if it fits the Gen 2 it will fit on the Gen 1. Gen 2 boxes are compatible on the Gen 1 but not the other way. I wouldn't mind a box that can carry 2 helmets or helmet + stuff, but it does look fairly wide.

As far as I know, it didn't exist for the Gen 1.

It's about 70 cm wide, which is less than the handlebar, especially if you have a Gen 1.
I can't confirm it fits, as I've sold my beautiful triple black... Parting is such sweet sorrow. The Gen 2 is quite a different beast.

I have the 49Ltr for my Gen 1, almost identical to the Gen 2 version except it wont fit because of the new ridge on the Gen 2 rack and obviously on the underside of a Gen 3 top box - does anyone know why they have done that? 

It was pretty expensive. Mine was in base grey/silver as I ran it on my GSA with vario panniers, but its been spayed black now to match my Triple Black.

Great for touring, can get two lids in it OK and looks just like the photos above.

Why not get and adapter plate from Givi that fits on the Gen 2 "2020 on". You just need to remove the plastic cover off the original rack and it bolts straight on, that way you can use Givi Monokey boxes that are far cheaper.
