Has anyone here put together a custom tool kit for the Gen XR that you keep on the bike? If so, can you list what you carry?

Off the top of my head:

Torx bits from T20 to T50, 8,10,12,14mm spanners, and maybe a 34mm socket/expandable wrench for the rear axle if you need to adjust chain on a trip. Apart from this general goodies: Plug kits, pliers, some sort of blade, flathead/philips screwdriver. That basically covers taking apart almost the entire bike.

I just have the standard tools and the BMW warranty card.
Living in France, I also carry a chopping board, small bread knife, corkscrew, knife and fork, and plastic cups.

The wine tastes just as good out of plastic cups, don't let the snobs tell you any different.

Where do you put the baguette and bottle of wine Bob?

I just have the standard tools. When doing a longer trip I take a set of torx bits, puncture repair kit and multi tool.

I carry a tire repair kit, a credit card, and a smart phone.  Motorcycles are very reliable today.  Tires are more robust than they used to, but one can still get a flat.
