Ok come on then what do you that little box for on the front of the tank on your Gen II  :187:

Also what's the point of it nothing fits in it. :084:
After over thirty + years behind the bars, there's still lots to do and see.

Based on the age of most XR riders, it is very handy for storing emergency ibuprofen, GTN spray or Rennies.

Based on my girlfriend who owns the XR, it is for her fold up hairbrush and her lip gloss. You are wrong if you think that it just an old mans bike.
I don't have a little place like that on my R1250RS but as a man, I have pockets in my jeans.

It's actually for "your" hairbrush and lip gloss isn't it..?  :169: :001:

    Smithy.
When I die, I want to go peacefully in my sleep like my Grandfather....not screaming like the passengers in his car..!

No, as I said I don't have that little box on my bike because it is a R1250RS. I keep my stuff in my pockets. :038:

Was thinking of cutting a piece of wood to use as side stand improvement and store it there.. Centre stand has been removed and is now service stand only (without springs) when needed at home. I have two sets of wheels..

Officially they have sold you an empty little box and you can put what you want in there. Wish I had one on my 1250 now, I'm dead jealous.  :155:

the tank shroud on the RS is only plastic. 2 minutes with a Dremel or 10 seconds with an angle grinder. Sorted.
