You ask if it is normal! What a big red thing on your dash warning you of impending doom? No I would guess that it is not normal.

    Blimey  :156:

One of the questions that pop up after a time of BM ownership and warranty has run out...do you tow the dealer line or buy a GS-911.

Could be several things but suggest checking the fuel pump including the connectors.

You need to get it checked out.

Give the system a hard reset by disconnecting the battery. If the fault persists, call your breakdown service and get shuttled to a workshop or home.

If it goes away then blame it on a glitch like you would with your phone, laptop or any other electronic device.

Unfortunately disconnecting the battery does nothing except require you to reset the clock.

This morning,  after a few minutes of riding the bike cleared the fault. :046:  Went by a BMW dealer to read the code.. it was a misfire on coil #1
They blamed the rain... as did i yesterday.

Hope I never se it again  :169:

    Good news!

Perhaps a good reason for carrying a GS911on a tour (or one between several BMW riders) or an cheaper OBD unit
