    I would say so.
5 Days and not a drop of rain and or any Midges.

Great time apart from the little tumble going up Applecross. Left me and the wife lying on the floor. Couple of scratches to panniers which were brand new, gutted. Pride more than anything tbh.

Just a pity car & campervan drivers dont realise the issue we have on bikes re camber etc. On the funny side we caught it on camera. :084: certainly was not funny at the time.

Hi ,  nice pics, but what is that blues stuff at the top of them :027:.  Did the NC 500 two years ago in the drizzle, can't wait to get back and do it again. :158:

For anybody heading that way look up Torguish House as a base near Inverness...highly recommended.

Sounds like you were very lucky with the weather. Was it busy?
Also, what happened on your tumble?

Never mind the photos, I was just as intrigued that you had the confidence to travel, we have our usual planned for next year, but currently no more than days out.

Did the NC500 3 weeks ago, no problems, rain or midges. Plenty of camper vans, boy racers, sheep and potholes though. Particularly recommend the micro brewery at John O Groats and the cafe at Shieldig on the west coast.

    Sorry Winger,
No just planned about 200 to 220 miles a day and looked for B&B & Hotels on route.
Booked these about 2 or months in advance as soon as COVID started to lift.
Very busy everywhere and difficult to find places to stay etc.

All B&B and Hotels were very good and would recommend any of them to be honest.

While im here somebody asked about the Tumble. So going up The Bealach na Ba Sigle track up the mountain with switch backs.
Looking up and at traffic, cars coming down and not using passing place. First few reversed back and allowed us to pass. However Campervan instead of stopping at correct place, continued. Moved over but nowhere to touch down on left foot. Tried right but got caught on Camber, right foot slipping and too late by the time i got a proper hold. Slow motion tumble. Absolutely fuming and Van never gave a second glance as i picked up bike in a nanno second.  :024:
