Doing the same over a weekend in August. Can't wait.
Take the Midge and mosquito repellent with you that time of the year!
We went up last year in June the weather was perfect we did North West cost sopping in Oban and going out everyday. The only down side was I did a set of tyres on my Z1000sx in 1500 miles but man some of the roads are grippy when they are dry.
I'd strongly recommend going up to The Commando Memorial then do the B8002 to Moy then down until you get to the A830 if you want a log ride out stay on the A830 to Maillaig then turn round and come back to the A82 which is a stunning road. on the T junction of the A830 and A82 is the Ben Nevis Distillery

if your near to Campbeltown just do the A83 North to Lochgilphead now that's a great bit of road.
sorry I could go on and on, my best mate's from up that way and his tours of the NW are stunning he just knows all the best roads some are a bit..... well lets just say sometimes a GS would be better

Anyway enjoy and take the Midge and mosquito repellent!
