Hi, I'm a newbie, My name is Mike, I'm from Cape Town, South Africa, Just bought a 2016 XR, my second one, just love these bikes, been riding for 25years, been through the radical CBR's and R1's.

A question, I would like to lengthen the gearing on the XR, I believe going from a 46 rear to a 43 improves this substantially, without loosing too much bottom end?

OEM gearing is a 45 tooth rear(17 tooth front), I have run a 42 tooth with no detrimental effect, it lowers the rpm a little at cruising speed.
