    Switched feed wire, Gen 2?

Could someone confirm which/where is a switched feed wire I can tap into under the seat? I'm looking to fit an Innovv K3 system, and need one for this. And I know I could buy a Hex eZCAN or similar, but don't want the additional cost  :028:

    XRNewey,

I asked the same question several months back. No one knew the answer.

So, I taped into one of the wires going to the smaller fuses on the left side of the bike under the seat.

Does not go off immediately when the bike turns off.

    Best,

Probably your thorough search did not end up with the answer.
Because there is a switched power supply left side under the small side panel.
Wire has some slack so you can reroute this to a more convenient place.
It has a standard BMW connector to put a power socket for instance.
That's what I used it for to keep the battery charged.

    Good luck with the search.

Hi guys.  I know this is possibly a daft question. I'm trying to find an ignition live Gen 2.
The left small panel near the seat where the fuses are.
How do you remove it? I have taken the bolt out and pulled out two connecting pegs
but the third one is a strange clip I'm not sure if I just pull it or nip it with pliers.
I don't want to break the clip that's why I'm asking.
I am hoping to find a switched feed plug.
    Any help would be great.
    Ride safe. Hooks  :018:

Do not clip/cut it. If it is the one I think it is (anterior) then, brace your hand on the panel on the left (tank cover panel). Grab the panel you are trying to remove from the top and pull directly backwards. It should just unclip. That panel has one screw and 3 clips (https://www.ascycles.com/bmw/2020/S1000XR/Frame%20and%20mounting%20parts/Rear%20side%20panel.html#PartsTable ). Best,

You mean left side under the seat, next to the fuses? Saw something there earlier, which I did wonder what it was. What is it, a socket? TIA
