Hi, just joined, having got my 2021 S1000XR a couple of days ago.
Road from Manchester to home in a big wind, out Friday much better, getting used to the beast a little now.
Sold a 2013 Honda VFR1200 which was good but was time to sell, the XR is lighter and turns beautifully!!
Been working and riding in North East of Spain for 10 years, roads and traffic (what traffic!) brilliant, but now back in t

Hi Parmere...looks like we are on a similar journey...I have moved across from a Crosstourer to a 2018 xr sport se just a couple of weeks ago.
Just fantastic to have such a light bike and the handling is superb.
Already have switched screens to an MRA and its a definite improvement although wind protection overall is not as good as the CT.
Where abouts were you based in NE Spain...we have a place near Begur. Love it out there and the roads are wonderful.
Hope you love your new xr will be interesting to compare notes
Happy riding!

Welcome to the forum Parmare! Enjoy the bike.
Scribbler, Begur is a lovely place. Went to the Fira d'Indians there in 2016 (after a trip along the Pyrenees on the moto), think it was related to links of the town with Cuba if memory serves me well. Good fun it was. Actually just got back from another holiday around there as well. Great roads as you say wherever you go.

Hi Becksy having a few technical issues with posting so you may see some repetition...apologies.
You are right about the festival it is linked with Cuba. It is one of the biggest events of the year and as you say great fun.
Did you get chance to take the N260 up to France and on to Collioure. Collioure is a beautiful seaside town and well worth a visit if you haven't been before and the N260 is a fun way to get there!

I have ridden the N260 from Andorra to Sabinanigo and then on down to Huesca on a few occasions and I agree that the N260 is a superb motorcycling road with the stretch between Andorra and Sort being my favourite bit.

I have ridden the N260 from SabiƱanigo to Olot, not gone up the cost to France on it. One day!

Sounds great, hope you find petrol if you need to fill up. Was up that way in July, did a ride report on it in the tours section.
