I do my own with a No Mar. It's quite simple .I also average about 18-20,000 miles a year on the bike so
I buy tires when they are on sale .....

I'm interested to know how difficult it is to change tires on the XR. I have a tire changer and used to change them on my K12S which was a huge pain in the ass. Also, I needed a special adapter to balance the wheel. I only started doing it because I could choose from a greater selection (and better prices) than my local shop.

Like a few on here yep I've been doing my own tiers for about 20 years or so now, quick top tip get yourself a set of cheap\ second hand tire warmers or an old electric blanket "from your Nan's house :745:", get the old tire nice a warm before you start, then when your cleaning up the rims get the new tires in the warmers, get tire lube as well or if your cheap washing up liquid!

Change the tire valves every time, there are loads of places to get tire weights.

I use this kit to take off and refit the tires:  https://abbastands.co.uk/product-detail.asp?pid=38

There are loads of videos on how to change tires, just take your time.

After over thirty + years behind the bars, there's still lots to do and see.

I made my own last winter(except welding) . Used it alot with tire changing for track. I'm now working on video hopefully can share more. It's portable so I can mount it to my trailer for use at track if weather changes. Works great
