    Hi There,

I'm having some problems and i hope you all can give me any help with this issue.

So I'm trying to install the K69 Brake/turnlights on K49 for extra visibility.

so the problem I'm having is that when i connect just one brake/turnsignal for example the left one everything works fine but if i reconnect my original brakelight or the right one. it will flash one time and then go off.

i hope you can help me with this  :027:

    Thanks in advance

    Adilson

You need a canbus controller. The extra brake lights with your original brake light are being seen as drawing too much power by the canbus system.

I have done this and had the same issue. the hex ezcan 2 does it no problem. The Denali one which is basically a hez ezcan rebranded will also work. I also fitted the gen 2 front indicators to match the rear. Really pleased with the result.
    What could possibly go wrong!!

    Hi Quent,
I was planning to do the same and already have the EzCan. Can you share some photos and more info for the installation ?

I was looking at doing the opposite - fit a proper back light to a Gen 2. I just don't feel safe not having one   :110:

    Hi Miategra,
The Gen 2 indicators/tail lights have four wires and the gen 1 has two. So I got a pair of fly lead plugs from ebay for gen 1 so I did not have to cut the plugs off my gen 1 indicators (just incase I wanted to revert back to std.) Only 3 of the four gen two wires are used. Seal off the yellow wire and slide back into the sleeving. Blue is indicator, so connect to flylead plug probably red. Brown is negative so connect to flylead black. The grey is stop tail light so connect to hex or denali device. When you set up in soft ware you can configure the stop lights for engine braking and flashing when stopping. I found this a bit distracting for mates following me so switched it off. Hope this helps.

Where did you get the oem rear brake/indicator lights? Where they expensive?
