Hi folks, I'm Russ from Central Scotland.
I'll be taking delivery of my new S1000XR TE triple black very soon. Can't wait
I've previously owned a Honda VFR 800 vtec ( same bike twice ! ) and a Yamaha Tracer 900.
It's a shame the bike will arrive just in time for me to put it away for the winter ....... roll on next season

Welcome to the forum saloonatic67! Enjoy the bike when the weather picks up again! It was nice riding weather down here today, been out for a few hours.

Priorities. I chose my place of residence to fit in with my biking desires, even had to give up work to do that.

Having just got rid of a house full who normally reside in Bordeaux and just gone home, and how much they were complaining about our UK temps I get that.
We now deal with winter temps...and Covid ...with two top line electric mountain bikes have done 3000 miles in the last 18 months, my Speacilised Turbo Levo stands very proudly next to the X/R and others.

to the forum, i'm pretty new myself..
England's warmer than Scotland, get yourself here before Sturgeon builds a Trump style wall...
I love riding in Scotland, regardless of the weather. The scenery, food and people are all 1st class..
windy

Thanks for the welcome folks
This Wednesday is the awaited date ..... can't wait tbh. I bet it bloomin' rains
Windy ..... we were down your general way over the weekend - Skegness then Cannock to be precise - and it never managed to get above 5.5 DegC. It was only 1.5 C when we got home last night.
Roll on next season & better weather

Welcome to the forum.
Little trip from Peterhead to Breamar / Glenshee(1.5degrees) / Blairgowrie then back up coast road. 220 miles i think.
Bike in garage all wrapped up for winter. Well, unless the sun comes out or the roads are dry

Well the beastie arrived one day earlier than planned
I've only managed 100mls or so due to our crappy/cold weather, but I'm very happy so far.
It looks like it may now be put away until the weather improves.
