Hi fellow enthousiasts
,
A few weeks ago I picked up my BMW S1000XR Triple Black from 2019. It is currently hiding in my garage because I still have to get plates for it (imported it from Germany). Reason for buying this particular XR were all the Wunderlich parts and complete luggage set it has.
Some more about myself. I am currently 24, and have been riding for 6 years now. At the moment I still own my 2014 Yamaha MT-09 (great engine, not so great suspension/comfort) and previously owned a KTM 625 SXC. Great motorcycle enthousiast and I can't wait to get on the road with this beauty.

Hiya and welcome I’ll try and keep it short....
Had been down in Spain with mates biking, we are on a camp site and there is a Dutch couple on an old BM, completely oblivious to them understand English...and to this day he reminds me of how we were talking about the heap of junk he/they were on, we have been firm friends ever since....
Way before the days of GPS, roll up outside his house in Breda with an address and and a map 😳, I ask a guy walking past if I am at the correct address never gave a thought to him understanding me....Yes he says just knocked on the door.....
My mate now lives in Middleburg and to this day reminds me that there are Tri-lingual,Bi-Lingual and Englishmen 😜

Welcome, rare to see someone my age own an XR, I see you've done the sensible thing as well and mostly skipped over supersports, I always get funny looks when I hop onto this "Dad's bike" instead of the 636 that parks next to me at the University haha

It was an old boxer BM long gone, but I still smile/curse he had Moto Guzzi V7 at the back of the garage for more years than I can remember, finally get off my backside and say i’ll Come over and collect it, and it said he’d just sold for a few hundred pounds 😂.
His sister married a French so to say i’ve Seen a lot of the Ardeche would be an understatement...
Tip for your bike..get the rack powdered coat black 😀

I assume it's rare yes, I did indeed skip the supersports. However, the MT-09 packs quite the punch but without the horrible seating position
. It does look funny at a young age, such a 'big bike' and a BMW as well... But hey fellow motorcyclists will understand

There are places far worse to drive to indeed.
I was looking for the black grab handles, but powder coating them black might be even better
. Another dilemma.
