Hi all, looking to fit one of these but don't want to pay the £600 that I have seen them for on the Web. Anyone know of a cheaper option?

Might be a longshot but the guys at s1000r forum had similar thoughts and sharkskinz finally produced a cheaper fiberglass bellypan. Haven't watched lately the updates but my guess is that with a bit of fiddling, it might fit the XR too.

That looks decent if it fits the oem belly pan is only held on by 2 bolts and 2 plastic rivets so it can't be too complicated to fab up a good fit assuming the bottom of the single R side fairings and engine position is the same as the XR is

Looks decent enough indeed, many thanks for the link.
I'll ping them a mail and see if they can help with the XR
Am assuming will have to remove the centre stand to fit this?
