    HEX ezCAN II for BMW

Hi Chaps, I'm getting bored now I can't ride, aside from the sh1tty weather my seat has gone away for a makeover..  :001:

So, pros and cons for the HEX ezCAN II for BMW including the harness for a Denali sound bomb.. I like a big horn (as the actress said to the bishop  :034:)

There are some axillary lights on the bike but the wiring is all over the place, hanging out near the tank and the units flop about over bumps.  :013:

I intend to light the front up like a Christmas Tree.. well maybe not quite but close, I love lights.. :169:  :008:

Had a mail from them yesterday giving 20% off for Black Friday using this link https://www.hexinnovate.com/black-friday/
I have bought one so will fit it and add spotlights and heated gloves once it arrives.

i have it on my gen 2, and its worked perfectly. It's currently controlling my radar detector, as well as my heated gear (which are then controlled via the heated grips setting).

My HEX ezCAN II arrived and is installed on the bike. All fairly simple. I then added my heated gloves and configured a channel for heated clothing - it didn't work, just showed a red light on the gloves controller so clearly there was power getting through but not to the heating element. I then configured the channel as an accessory rather than heated clothing and all work as expected with the normal 4 different heat settings. I guess the heated clothing channel/controls within the software only work for one/some brands but not all. Now they work as an accessory I am happy that my hands won't get too cold !  :002:
Next job the find my spot lights and get them added.

not to be funny, but on the 'heated clothing' setting is it not then controlled through the WonderWheel, thus negating the need for a separate controller? is this maybe why your controller did not work??

Simon, HEX exCAN can also send power at a preset level to your heated clothing depending on the heated grip setting (1-3)

Simon, yes that could be it so that setting probably won't work for any of the brands that build in a heat controller into their products. Not an issue as they can be configured as an accessory.

I have the ezCan 2.0 with dual B6 lights on the rear for added brake light visibility.

PRO - I love the added visibility and functionality.

CON - It is very expensive for what it is.

Another CON is that I spent a lot of money (full price) on this device and had an issue with how the lights functioned. When trying to trouble shoot, Denali had me send in logs and spent time emailing with their tech support asking me a bunch of questions. Just today I was informed that I have a Beta unit. I was never informed of this and paid full price. I suppose I am now a Beta tester and not too happy about how this was not disclosed upfront.
