I was considering going this year. Have changed my mind due to the covid risk increasing in the UK. Will probably go to Milan again next year.

Yes, I have been wavering on that basis, but they do require proof of vaccination or negative test to enter, so hoping that provides significant mitigations, and it is fairly cavernous on the inside. (However, was due to a concert at the NIA this weekend, have decided to knock that on the head, not a good idea being jammed in like sardines at the moment).

It is still quite a crowded place, especially when you look at the way people are happy to crowd around things to look at something.
For me to go would also involve a crowded flight on Ryanair to Stansted where people are like sardines to get through passport control, then a train with loads of people on it etc. We are vaccinated and tested in this household, but things are much more cautious over here when the infection rates are much lower than the UK. We have been wearing masks in all shops etc all of the time.
I have been to the NEC every year for most of the last 5, but it is possible to see most of the show in half a day. The Milan show, on the other hand, is probably about 8 times the size and at least two days are needed. Makes a great short holiday in Milan too.

I doubt the NEC is 30 minutes away on a bad day for us, we gave up the weekend rugby scrum years ago and have tickets for monday....currently we are somewhere between undecided and not so sure.

The plan is in the door 10 am, if it gets busy we are out and gone...hopefully there will be no aircon but lots of ifs and buts about how that would work.

Had some mates there couple of weeks ago for the motorcycle auction, and the instructions are to have your Covid Test app on your phone for getting in, but they tell me the trick is to take a paper print out with you...it’s quicker.

Re the fall Antares look for the plus’s ....it’s part of the process...😀 far better to do it when you bounce well rather than Years to come.

Bounce well, i did  :008:, still surprised absolutely nothing is bruised or aching, i was going at least 20mph, but probably a bit more. At least the clutch perch and indicator is sorted now so should be back on the road asap

I am due to have my work Christmas Dinner in Birmingham on the Thursday. Was going to stay overnight and go to the NEC on the Friday.

Try the Hilton Metropole hotel just next door to the NEC. Stay there every time I go and it has a great breakfast.
