    Loud Backfire

I have a 2018 and it has always had a mild pop on decel.  I added a Rapid Bike EVO and to be honest I did not notice a huge difference but it did seem to smooth out the throttle.  I then installed a decat y-pipe and and scared the crap out of myself on the first decel.  It sounded like a gun shot.  Has anyone here installed the decat pipe with the stock can?  Did you have a loud pop on decel?  Are there any settings in the Rapid Bike that can be set to help?
Nitrous is like a hot chick with an STD.  You know you want to hit it but unsure of the outcome.

Yea the popping on decel is mad with a decat pipe/ full headers, it's lovely! Only thing you can do to disable it is to see if there is a setting for secondary air injectors or PAIR valve, something like that, only other way to go would be to physically block the injector (the tube responsible for this is at the front of the valve cover) though I'm not sure if that'd cause other issues. Other than this: Rain and Road mode, but i'm sure you don't want that.

Does it only do it in Dynamic/Dynamic Pro modes? There is a function called "Thrust Acoustics" or something similar that is turned on in these modes and creates the popping which is quite pleasant with a standard pipe.

I had the same problem when I fitted decatt downpipes - sounded like a bloody cannon going off when you de-throttled  :034:

Ill gave to check if it does it in the lower modes. I always ride around in dynamic pro. Much more fun. Ill try the pair mod too.

It's intentional from BMW and is not there in Rain/Road modes.

A "deacat" Y pipe is normally never as good as proper headers, the resonance within the pipes is all wrong as they're not "tuned length". My Arrow headers, (with RBE), still pop but never "bang" as such.

I changed my end can for something that would be totally illegal in Europe as no sound deadening etc. It has a nice louder sound ( so safer 😁) but when I use Dynamic or Dynamic Pro I do get these massive popping noises...in the normal/Road riding mode it is just a bit louder but without the popping noise.

I have a full Akra with no baffle on my '16, it's loud and pops like crazy.  I removed the acoustic inserts,  did a BT IAT relocation and it smoothed it out a lot.  Popping is by design.  My '18 had a stock pipe with Stage 2 BT, it popped as well, just not as loud.
    Nature of thie beast.
