Hi as being new to BMW Motorcycles........got a suprise appearance of the warning triangle on dash with the service indicator on the digital read out...now normally i would be back onto the dealers to complain but a quick search on here and the words Moto Scan pops up!!.....well quick google to see what is needed and as it happens i already have a Bluetooth OBD2 reader so a quick download of the app a couple of clicks to purchase...Result the service light was reset to next year!! in less than ten minutes lol....have had a quick look around within the app and from what i can gather this is a very good app if you have a BMW Motorbike that is compatable with it ...and as a noobie i can recommend the simplicity of the app and connecting to your bike ...well worth the purchase!!

Motoscan is well known on here and many of us have been using it for many years.
It can do lots of service items including brake bleeding, throttle adaptions, quickshift re-calibrations etc...
The GS-911 is better but it also costs a lot more.

When I die, I want to go peacefully in my sleep like my Grandfather....not screaming like the passengers in his car..!

I've seen a GS-911 in action and "better" is debatable imo, i does have a slightly nicer user interface though. Motoscan has functionality the GS911 doesn't and the same is true the other way, but both get the basics done, and for how often and what one might need to use it for I just see on reason to spend more. Also motoscan isn't tied to your bike (or has limited uses), so you can freely help mates out

just to clear things up, the GS911 only registers a VIN(as 1 of the 10 available) when to use the "Reset Service" function, for checking and clearing codes, reseting adaptations, etc you can do these on as many of your mates (or yours) as you see fit.
It's still expensive, but not tied to your bike on a whim.
