S1000XR Sump guard

Hi does anyone know of a manufacturer of a sump guard.  Something put a hole through the front of the sump on my bike and spewed oil all over my rear tyre.  Luckily I stopped to wait for a friend and noticed the smoke otherwise ????

There used to be something available for the Gen-1's but I've not seen anything for the Gen-2. Assuming you have a Gen-2, you don't actually say.?? But your avitar says 2020.

Would have to be a substantial rock to hole the sump. There were a few Gen-1 sumps where they were porous and leaking oil, but not too many thankfully.

No..I believe he's after something like this on a Gen-1 below, as mentioned they were available some time ago but I've not seen any for quite some time, and never for a Gen-2...:

those items(crash bars, Sump guard) were from a company called Alt-Rider, but as stated are discontinued for quite a while, but you may want to look through their website.

Got a riding buddy that has that Alt Rider set up on a 2016 XR. The belly pan has cracked three times requiring welding and the long side bars had to be reweldged/ reattached to the pan. He said it occurred because of the strong vibrations from the s1000XR motor. Guess this was the reason the product was discontinued by the manufacture??

Would think twice about this product...

Don't think you need to think twice about it, 'cos I am pretty sure you cannot find any stock for sale anywhere.
