Actually any idea when this will be in stores? From what I read prices will be the same as the road 5 right now or 10-15 quid more for a set and I need the tires in 2 weeks time or so, I'd rather put these on than the 5s if the claims are true, especially with the front tyre being 2ct+, I thought the fronts were a little vague on the Road 5 (still very very good though.

they are on the UK website now, which wasn't the case a few days ago so contact your local tyre suppliers. Protyre and Blckcircles don't have them listed yet.

Yea I saw that, all suppliers that already list them still all say "Out of stock" for now though.

I also run a K16GT for touring and the Road 5 got withdrawn for that bike as the tyre was too wide (the 190 was coming out at 203 - 204mm) and rubbing on some swingarms  :005:  I hope this one fits OK.

Similar to the Dunlop Roadsmart IV's I fitted a few months ago....the 190/55/17 I measured it at a tad over 200mm and is very close to touching the chain guard on my Gen-1....must say I'm very impressed with them as a set though, very confidence inspiring....Front seems to be quite sensitive to pressure though, just 2-3 psi lower than the 36psi spec will cause some cupping. The rear is very good indeed. Very good in the wet and I'd go so far as to say on par with the Road 5's.

    'Different shape'?

I've never fitted Road 5, but understand that they have quite a 'peaky' profile compared to others - are the Road6 less so?

Maybe now is the time to look for cheap Road 5s  :084:
