    Puig Racing Windscreen

I have a 2019 XR in Triple Black and currently have a Puig touring screen on it which does a great job with wind protection. The only problem is that it doesn't look right on the bike. It's big and upright (which is why it works) but I'd like something that goes with the lines of the bike. I do like the look of their racing screen and am trying to decide between the dark smoke and black. I'm assuming that you can't see through the black screen so I wondered if this poses a safety risk, especially in the higher position. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate some feedback

    Cheers

Whilst not exactly what you're asking I think the MRA Vario screen without the spoiler might be an answer to your problem. It's not as tall as other options but has a significantly better shape than stock blocking those gaps either side of the stock screen when it's up and it blends pretty well with the lines of the bike in both positions. I have the one with the spoiler and in the upper position I can ride with visor open at 100mph+ comfortably. When wanting to have some fun or in the city, it still provides excellent airflow and is barely sitting any taller than stock. I bought a smoked one off of one of the guy on the forums here but I might swap to a clear one in the future, smoked looks great but i'd prefer a bit more visibility closely in front of the bike when it's darker, whilst the screen is up. On green lanes i have to put the screen down to see whats right in front of me properly.

Had the Puig sport/racing screen for some years...not sure I would call it dark smoke...more light tint...but works well enough both one up and more importantly two up 😀

Antares, I did have the MRA Vario on my Multistrada and liked it once I got the spoiler adjusted correctly. I also like the Puig touring screen for wind protection. I was just looking for something sportier for warmer weather. I think the Puig racing screen looks great and compliments the lines of the XR. It comes in 4 shades; clear, light smoke, dark smoke, and black. I think the black looks the best with the Triple Black XR but I don't think you can see through it at all which could be dangerous.

Winger, it sounds like yours may have been the light smoke version. I just wasn't sure if the windscreen comes above your eyes when it's in the high position.

The MRA in the low position on the XR even with the spoiler lets plenty of air reach you, i'm 5 10-11 or so and it hits me right at my shoulders but with way cleaner flow than the stock, I had no issues with it in the summer, in the UP it's a nice bubble though, blocking bugs, splash, rocks, anything of the sort.

I'd live in a small workshop with a couch if it meant I have ample garage space for bikes, working on them and a bunch of machinery like lathes and drill presses and the sorts  :745:
