    Recommended tail bag

I would like to get a tail bag/pack that sits on the rack of my S1000XR. I don’t like top boxes and I may want to use throw over panniers when touring plus the tail pack.
I don’t want hard luggage on the bike so I’ve removed the “scaffolding” to tidy things up for normal riding.
    I am UK based.
    Cheers

You can choose between the 2 soft BMW bags ( 30 l the small and 50 the big) or if you want something smaller the SW Motech pro

You don't say how much capacity you need which will be a big factor in the recommendations you get. When I don't need my top box and only need a few bits and bobs (e.g. extra layer, puncture repair kit, bottle of water etc) I use this:-

    Cheers mate,
Yes I did miss capacity. I am Thinking of 15ltrs with the possibility to expand a little. This would be good enough for a couple of nights I a, thinking.

I have a Kreiga 30l pack which works very well on the rack or on the pillion seat, is totally waterproof and will squeeze down much smaller if not filling it fully. They also come in smaller or larger sizes.

Following an earlier post that i put regarding a small Lockable Gve tail bag. I bit the bullet and bought the GIVI 8 ltr tail bag. Hopefully fo the trick.
Would have preferred something that actually locked onto the plate.

I have both a GIVI tank bag and a National Cycle storage pod for the tail.
