Just back from collecting my S1000xr sport se from North Oxford BMW, what a wonderful machine, I like it so much more than the KTM already.
The ride back was mostly dry, but ran through a down pour around Birmingham...... that rev limit light is nice and bright isn't it. No missing that :-). 140 miles done.
Fantastic.

I've a mate who has just p/x'd a 1290 superduke against the new GT and he's shocked at the difference between the two.

I think I'm going to wait for the 1290 SD GT see what it looks like.

I think I'll wait for them to iron the bugs out of the GT before I even consider one. It's only been out a few weeks, and there's already been a few issues with it.

Best not to buy a new model bike within the first year, let them and others iron out all the problems.
Later bikes will be better.
Have just part exed a KTM 1190 for an XR , picked up yesterday.
It's great , very involving, everything works, and virtually no vibes.
Brilliant.
