Booking and updates

Those who are in US, who also recently booked / bought a new XR, what kind of updates you got and when? Do you get a production number after certain weeks and then a build date followed by shipping across the continent etc? I am not sure if it is my dealer but they are passive on this, or this is because of the pandemic situation.

a US buyer was able to track the shipment container across the Atlantic once the dealer had supplied the VIN and shipping container detals

@jaythedreamer I placed the order for 2022 XR and was told by dealer that it is scheduled for assembly at the fifth week of the 2022. And probably will be here in March

OBars, when did you order?

This is the general information I also got from other owners, that you will get some information and a build date / tracking eventually, but nothing from my dealer!

I ordered my XR in  late October, dealer already had a Vin and a full inventory of what was on the bike.  Based on that he said they would most likely be invoiced the day the bike hits the port and clears customs.  He called me December 22 to let me know the bike was invoiced and would likely be delivered the following week.  Keep in mind this is in Northern NJ and we are about 30 minutes from port Elizabeth. Pretty similar experience but he didnt give me any shipping container info, which i think is really cool

I ordered around Thanksgiving and on Dec. 5th dealer notified me that scheduled for production. He sad he will notify when VIN is assigned (I ordered from Cycle Werks in Barrington)

Hey, did you get an update on the progress? My dealer is still keeping mum after almost a month. I am going to cancel the booking with them next week.
