Suggestions/Experiences for Rear Wheel Removal on OEM Lowered First Gen

Recently picked up a lowered '18 M version and it's now ready for a new set of tires.  In removing the rear wheel, I had to remove the Akra exhaust that the bike came with as the rear axle cannot come out with enough clearance on the right side (brake caliper side).  I was curious if anyone else has experienced this and if there's an easier fix/adjustment than having to remove the exhaust pipe each time.

    Thanks in advance

You'll really only need to remove the muffler once, only takes a couple of minutes anyway.....then you can fit the axle in from the other side and have the nut on the exhaust side, it is reverseable.

Thanks, never thought about reversing it.  In my mind, I've always had this disciplined view of keeping hardware where it was due to weight balancing.  I'll give it a go if the 34mm socket can fit on the other side, otherwise same dilemma.

Mine is standard height and no issues with the axle hitting the muffler...although I don't have the Akra.
