Gen 2 non OEM Top Box?

Anyone bought and/or recommend an after market Top Box for the Gen 2 bikes?

Or is OEM the way to go?

I already have OEM panniers so would ideally like to have the same key for all 3??

You seem to have your answer if the same key thing is your primary criterion.

If you really want an alternative then Givi now have the fitting kit for the Gen2 in matt aluminium or anodised black https://www.givi.co.uk/my-motorcycle/bike/bmw/s-1000-xr-20--21

That would be my choice as I already have the box.

    Cheers Mr!

Seems the OEM kit is the way to go for my requirements.

Yes Givi all day long, I've had the same topbox on the last two XR

I've been using the same Givi Monokey E45 box since 1996. It wasn't new then as I bought it from someone on UKRM.

    [tots up]

Fitted to 8 bikes since then

Do you have any pictures? I didn't like the OEM one I saw, it looked too small for the bike and was a bit to shiny (I'll have a triple black).

I wasn't offered any options, so have been looking at the Shad SH59X as I liked the idea of the back rest on it.

Hers a pic of my Bike with OEM panniers and GIVI top box.
Best option n my opinion. Looking to do something with key. But to be honest no big deal.

The Shad 59X is good. A friend has one on his KTM. It is expensive and note, the backrest is extra £62 https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/392698

You can get a backrest for Givi boxes as well. I have one on my E45 Monokey box. This is an old design no longer available, so no point posting pics of it on my Gen 1 bike. I have had it since 1996.

Some links for Motocard above who are overseas. If you want a UK retailer then this Ebay seller is good https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/nativeviking - they are based in the NE of England and have a large stock of Givi (and sister brand Kappa) luggage

I do love me some Givi E's . Not posh but very practical..  :001:
