    hi all.

Anyone have issues with their bike not starting in gear?

Side stand is up and clutch is in. No start. Only works in neutral

Side stand switch sticking, despite the stand being up.

    Nah not side stand.
I blew some air at the clutch micro switch. That did the trick. Probably just dirty

Cool, the clutch micro switch is actually two switches in one...one does the clutch/side stand and the other is the cruise/quick-shift...but if i works ok...all is good. :028:

start your bike in neutral, and then once its running put the side stand down- what happens? (this way you'll know if that switch is working or not.)

hey thanks for the tip. The bike turns off if I do this.
Turns out the clutch micro switch was dirty. After a clean the bike starts in gear. Will monitor.
I'm surprised bmw didn't place the switch in a dust and waterproof housing

Many people just disable the cruise/quick shift part of the switch, it sometimes plays up too.
