    iPhone in sat nav cradle

    Hi peeps
So I've read loads of stuff about iPhone camera failing after mounting it to the S1000XR, on various different mounts, also read that the sat nav prep mount has dampening built into it by BMW , has anyone had any issues with iPhone mounted into the sat nav mount, as I'm thinking of getting the new phone cradle for the sat nav mount ,so I can use the control  wheel, I'm specifically talking about the gen 2 bike, any advice would be appreciated

I don't think it matters how many people have had problems or not - If I was navigating via a phone/app - I would buy a cheap large-format android/apple phone, load it with CoPilot or similar and use that.

It seems as though it is the more recent swishy-focus-zoom phones which are vibration-prone.

I'd keep my main phone in my jacket or tankbag.

Control or "Wonder Wheel" only works with OEM satnav, either V or VI.

    Smithy.

Hopefully have the new cradle when home.
Intend on using older phone and see how i get on with App etc before selling a Brand new NAV 6 only used once.

Bit of a wate but if phone ok, will save using SAT Nav all together hopefully, connections issue etc as well??

More a case of trying to have less tech stuff on normal days out. Use the Nav when away on Touring days etc. Most of the time its the same roads in NE Scotland. Sat Nav not so necessary and old phone cheaper if i lose it
