So I bought the bike last Friday, and put 500 miles on it, had the first service done today. I thought going from "ROAD" to "DYNAMIC" was a big difference, but it seems like this thing really has some get up and go now!!

Also, I was interested to read about the "endurance chain" which came on my bike. Initially BMW said maint. free, but now it seems reviewer say you still have to lube and all that. I was going to anyway.

    A fun bike.

Nice to hear, enjoy the bike!

As far as the endurance chain goes, honestly there is not enough of a sample of various different people's use cases to say which way is better, arguments for all, but in the end it doesn't look like the game changer it's promised to be, but once again, not enough feedback, some person might very well have gotten 50k miles on theirs without a drop of lube, who knows.

Yeah the review/test I read, it certainly doesn't sound like it's worth double what a good quality chain costs. I'll just replace with a DID chain when it's time

Check out Tsubaki chains too, might be anecdotal but been using them a while and they regularly outperform DID in most aspects (corrosion, regularity of adjustment, total life) cost a little more but well worth it imo, they are a bit heavier duty though so I'd expect it.

Yes, at 600 miles the BMW Motorrad Dealer take off the RPM RED LIMITER (6,000 RPM's) or the DEMO MODE. The BMW endurance chain is OK but, when comes time to change out the chain on my 2021 Sport XR I will be going with a DID ZVMX (https://sprocketcenter.com/i-30500227-525-chain-kit-superlite-rsx-steel-sprocket-set-with-choice-of-chain-bmw-s1000xr-20-22.html ). I'll keep it mind, hopefully it'll be awhile.
