    Givi tank lok ring question.

My bike is a 22 with keyless start. I'm planning on getting the tank lock ring configuration for attaching a tank bag, had this on my other bike and thoroughly loved it.

I note reading in the  manual they mention emergency access to fuel, which entails removing the two torx bolts at the top of the tank ring to remove the panel.  Does the givi ring for this bike have a cutout to allow this or as I assume you have to remove the ring to enable removal.  The givi pic just shows a generic ring. I plan to carry a torx wrench to fit the tank ring in any event just on the off chance the keyless system goofs up.

    Thanks!

you would have to remove the GIVI ring for emergency fuel access, there is no way out of it.

if you planning to carry the tools, better carry the spare battery as well for your key fob. which would be handy.

Yeah that's pretty much what I thought, good idea on the battery. I'll always have the rear top box on so carrying stuff won't be a problem

I have a spare battery taped under the seat. CR2032 available in any hardware store or Amazon.

I always have a supply of these batteries, they're using in my cycling equipment, heart rate monitor, cadence, etc plus key fob for the car as well. It's really nice that this battery is standardized for so many uses.
