I was looking to move up from my CTX 1300 Honda to a 1250RT but...got sidetracked when I saw an ad in the cycle trader of a pristine S1000 XR. I drove 1000 miles round trip to pick it up. Low milage, meticulously maintained, lots of extra parts (windshields, R model pieces, OBD II bluetooth anylizer, seat etc.) and it's RED! Man! What a difference between 700+ pounds and 87 hp and 160hp and 500 pounds. Man... This thing has sparked some passion in this old man.

I live in Palm Beach County, FL and have owned the same XR since June '16. The power to weight, handling, breaks, riding position...etc etc. 60,000 miles and I have yet to find a better all rounder. Good luck with your new toy.

60,000 miles...Very reassuring.
Amazed with the power of this thing, among all of the other attributes. Lovin' it!

Hi Fatstrat, good choice of ride, at 62 I decided I needed something to keep my blood circulating so I purchased a 2017 low miler. Enjoying it a lot..
