First and foremost:
Radiator guards!
Apart from that bar ends, aftermarket screen, seat, crash protection, always a good idea.
But most importantly,
Enjoy the bike!

Definitely the bar end weights and an aftermarket screen as Antares says. I have the MRA Vario screen. I also have the BMW engine bars.
I differ to most on the rad guard call, and haven’t bothered with those.

Bar end weights, yes.
I have the MRA screen and really like it.
Radiator guards - I did it but I would not do it again, upon installation, I got a good look at the oil cooler and noticed it is so robust, no rock will put a hole in it.

Maybe, but all I keep coming back to is the new 2021 S1000R press launch where someone pinged a stone straight through the rad... Was quite hilarious example of why I'd never take my chances with massive rads like this, they are easy enough to install and cheap enough to be worth your while, just my view though.

Obviously you aren’t riding in downtown Detroit.

I understand there is a real desire to protect the radiators. But to show that I am not completely risky, below is a picture of my oil cooler, which led me to purchase the guards. But upon installation, I realized the cooling fins do not hold any oil, all the oil is in the substantial, solid metal, cross bars. I don't think a rock will cause an oil leak. The large coolant radiator is not this robust but it is also much less in the line of fire.

For me it’s not just the radiators protection it’s also the aesthetics of having nice shiny guards that are easy to clean.
