Returning XR owner in Virginia, USA
on: May 12, 2022, 05:17:07 PM
In '17 I bought a used '16, put 30K on it, then sold it.  By the weekend I'll be the proud owner of a '21 Motorsport XR, pretty much loaded (the bike, not me!).  After a 30 mile test ride, I'm already thinking about lowering the gearing.  I know it has different ratios in 5th & 6th, but still is pretty high RPM at 80.  I did that on the old XR & really liked the results.
The new-to-me XR will sit in the shop with my 1250GSA & an RNineT Urban GS, along with a few other bikes.

:400: a lot of people have done it but I cannot even think of lowering the gearing, to reduce pick up speed is a sin in my book  :005:
