Welcome. I've only had my XR for a week, and I was very torn between the R and XR - good to hear that you've no regrets in going for the XR! I absolutely love the bike!

Thanks -  I loved my R, was a great bike. However I do a lot of long trips, beginning of June I did a 3000 miles in 7 day Euro trip and it absolutely killed me...took me a week to recover. 600 miles on the last day gave me plenty of time to think about my choices and decided on the XR as the engine is fantastic. A few days after the trip I traded the R in on a 6 month old XR with 1k on the clock, not used it much yet but is very comfy, seems to handle well and obviously has the pulling power of the R so all good! :)
