 Headed up to the Appalachian Mountains for a long weekend, looked down & my Gear Lever Toe Piece was gone! Fortunately, I was at my BMW Motorrad  Dealer and they jerry-rigged the part. Turns out if one want the part from BMW it is over $300 for the assembly: (https://www.ascycles.com/bmw/2020/S1000XR/Optional%20Equipment%20and%20Accessories%20Motorrad/Footrest%20assembly%20left.html#PartsTable ). That is correct! You can not just order that small part. So, if anyone has the M footrest assembly  on an XR MAKE SURE TO PUT SOME LOCK-TIGHT ON YOUR GEAR LEVER TOE PIECE!

If someone knows where to order just this piece please let me know. Otherwise, I am going with a universal product for the gear lever toe piece. Yes, I know Gilles has something similar in black that is special order item%u2026

That sucks! I can't believe that happened but you were fortunate to be at the dealer and not in the middle of nowhere. Have you checked Ebay? Guys are parting out their wrecked bikes all the time. I would imagine it's the same part for the R and RR

Maybe Gilles Tooling can provide you spare part. This is/was manufactorer from BMW rearsets.

What is really sad is the BMW Motorrad Dealer said that someone went out on a test ride on a 2022 RR with the M style rear sets and the exact same thing happened. The shifter/foot peg fell off. They had to replace the shifter/foot peg with the $325 part. The good news was the guy still bought the 2022 RR.

I went with the cheep CNC part from China off Amazon. It was $12.59. Yes, I got the silver one on order. They are about 9 mm longer than OEM, but have the same width.



Definitely, getting an extra set of these shifter/brake foot pegs to put in the Gen 2 XR saddlebag.
